Rides

Here's some information you need to know if you're coming to CTL to bicycle.

Bike Responsibly

The Sierra Club promotes biking that is safe and environmentally responsible. Your equipment should be well maintained, and you should bring helmets and other necessary safety equipment. We'll have the Sierra Club’s Angeles Chapter's Mountain Bike Etiquette Guide available, or you can read it ahead of time here (http://angeles.sierraclub.org/mbc/mtb_etiquette.htm). The Sierra Club's Conservation Policy for off road bicycle use is available here (http://www.sierraclub.org/policy/conservation/mtnbike.asp).

Do not ride on trails that forbid bicycles. Two such trails that are close to CTL are the Pacific Crest Trail and the road to Peter Grubb Hut.

Bikes at CTL

Donner Pass Road can be quite busy, and there have been occasional thefts. You can:

lock your bike in your vehicle or to your vehicle’s bike rack.

•Bring your bikes into the Lodge and secure it in the long corridor to your left after entering the front door.
